Project Description:
The former Gas works site in Salcombe has been transformed to provide six, three bed houses with views of the estuary, together with a secure under-croft car park for the residents and a lettable retail shell, the fit out of which was completed directly by the Co-Op the retail tenant.
Given the challenging location and former usage of the site, the careful management and procurement of the groundworks package was a key issue for the project. David undertook several exercises in conjunction with the contractor and contamination experts to achieve a cost effective, risk mitigated, compliant solution for the developer.
