Project Description:
A family-based development company appointed David to assist with the development and construction of Cadmus Rock. Cadmus house was demolished in summer 2018 to facilitate the construction of 3 high end spec build development properties with views of the Salcombe Estuary with a combined floor area of 676m2.
There is limited access to the site from the highway, which poses a challenge given the large amount of excavation required to the hillside side to maximise the achievable floor area. Careful cost planning and site analysis was required from David at an early stage of the project to highlight the cost and programme aspects of the site abnormal to the developer.

Role:
David assisted the client in procuring the professional team and undertook project management and quantity surveying from inception to the point of contract. Given the project was partially bank funded, David was responsible for liaising with the funders monitoring surveyor to ensure a smooth drawdown of funds.
